PYO Plums coming soon!

As the 2010 PYO season rapidly approaches we are informing all our valued customers of a new system which will be in operation this year.

     Last year saw a rapid increase in the number of people stealing strawberries as well as large car loads of people just coming down for a “free day out” and eating pound after pound of strawberries.

     Whilst we realise that it is not any of our local customers (as you are impeccable in your behaviour!) we feel we must do something to deter these freeloaders. So as a result we will be introducing a £2 per head pre-pick charge before you head off to pick. This will be deducted from your final bill when you come to pay.

   We apologise for this inconvenience (it is somewhat draconian!) but hopefully when this certain section of ‘British society’ realise that you must pay for the fruit you pick then possibly they won’t come back and spoil a grand traditional rural British activity.
